I find Edith fascinating. Woodrow Wilson was besotted with her. They got together very soon after his first wife died because WW couldn't be alone. There was a TV movie years ago, starring I think Lee Remick as Edith, dealing with WW's stroke and Edith being defacto shadow president.
I just recently visited Thomas Edison National Historic Park and was amazed to see the electric car charging station he invented! Apparently his wife, Mina Edison, loved driving an electric car, as did Henry Ford's wife, Clara. They both preferred the 1914 Detroit Electric Brougham, which looks very fancy, with glass windows all around, upholstery, headlights and a clock.
