Disenchantment by busy work! SO right. What a great turn of phrase. I was so relieved that I'd already written to my senators when I read this. In all the years I've done that, you know, I don't recall ever putting their email addresses in my contacts. It's about time. I have a feeling we're going to need them with much more regularity. Once again, Maya, thank you for reminding all of us.

Anyway what I’m trying to say is the rights and freedom that the women before us fought for shouldn’t be eroded away because of weak men. From the timeline women didn’t get to vote till the 20th century and it was being fought for in the 19th century. That’s insane!!

I recently discovered the HBO show The Gilded Age and it’s all about the 19th century in New York City. I’m really excited about the third season because we get see suffragette movement.

Oooh! I really liked the first seasons, I'll keep an eye out for the third. I'll be very curious to see how they handle the Suffs.
